She believes that the South Indian film industry is more disciplined and successful because it stays connected to its culture and traditions. In contrast, she thinks the Hindi film industry failed because it tried to be too Western.

In Mumbai, they started making movies that were like Western films, which didn’t do well. Raveena learned from the South Indian film industry that it’s important to make movies that connect with the masses.
Raveena also talked about how in the South, she was allowed to gain some weight, and filmmakers didn’t mind. But when she returned to Mumbai, people would comment on her weight, and she had to lose the extra pounds.
