At the event, Apple revealed some updates about the new Apple Watch Series 9. It now has the S9 chip, which they say can last for 18 hours on a single charge. This chip also brings some improved health tracking features. Plus, it comes with WatchOS 10 pre-installed. They’re also adding a new U2 chip for better Find My feature and to connect with other Apple devices like HomePod.
Apple is also making some eco-friendly moves. They’re getting rid of leather cases, starting this year, to help the environment. They’ll use a new Carbon Neutral logo on their product boxes. They’re even using recycled materials in the Watch Series 9, like aluminum, gold, tin, copper, and for the first time, recycled cobalt in the battery. And they had a fun video with Octavia Spencer as Mother Nature at the event.
They also introduced a new band called FineWoven for the Apple Watch, which looks like leather but is made with eco-friendly stuff. And don’t forget, they unveiled the Apple Watch Ultra 2 too.
