During an interview on Jay Shetty’s podcast last year, Selena, who stars in “Only Murders in the Building,” talked about her approach to love and not letting heartbreak affect her anymore. She believes that giving herself completely to something is the best way to love, referring to her health and relationships. She still hopes for love, healing, and change, and she never wants to lose that hope.
Selena says there are days when she feels so far from that mindset. But she’s, like, “I’d rather keep getting my heart broken than not feel anything at all,” she kept saying. After that huge, public breakup, she wanted to, like, take control of the story and the best thing she got was being, like, honest with people, sharing her story, and knowing she was enough. Selena’s all grateful for her past because it, like, made her stronger.
She also thinks there’s, you know, some sort of blessing in every tough situation. She’s like, “I always say, like, there’s a blessing in the breaking,” whether it’s, like, simple like road rage or losing someone you really loved, you know? Selena’s all about turning the loss of someone she loved into, like, celebrating them and all the awesome stuff they brought into her life.
