The movie “Animal,” starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, has been highly anticipated in Bollywood this year. Initially, Parineeti Chopra was set to play the female lead, but later Rashmika took on the role.
Parineeti had to step out of the project due to her commitment to another film with Diljit Dosanjh, directed by Imtiaz Ali. There were reports suggesting that Sandeep Vanga Reddy, the director, found Parineeti unsuitable during trial shoots.
Sandeep Vanga Reddy praised Rashmika Mandanna’s role as Geetanjali in the movie, describing her character as someone who understands the protagonist even more than his parents. The film, which also features Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and others, was initially scheduled for release in August but was postponed for post-production work.
It eventually hit theaters on December 1st, competing with Vicky Kaushal’s “Sam Bahadur.” Alia Bhatt, who watched the film before its release, expressed her enthusiasm, calling it “Outstanding” and adding, “khatarnaak, khatarnaak” before leaving.
