Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has always been in the spotlight for his relationships. Reportedly, he dated several leading ladies from the film industry. One of the most talked-about relationships was with Sangeeta Bijlani in the 1980s.
Salman and Sangeeta were deeply in love and even thought about getting married. Sangeeta was the first woman Salman considered settling down with. However, their love story took an unexpected turn, surprising their fans. They began dating in 1986 but ended their relationship in 1994.
But why did they break up?
The Tiger Zinda Hai actor’s ex-girlfriend, Somy Ali, she shed some light on why Salman and Sangeeta’s breakup happened. In her latest interview with AajTak, Somy said, “The wedding cards, they were printed, but Sangeeta caught Salman red-handed in my apartment. What Salman did to Sangeeta, the same happened to me. This is called karma, when I grew up a little, I understood about it.”
After the wedding, it got called off, Sangeeta, she married cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin and she quit Bollywood. Their relationship, it didn’t last long, and they got divorced in 2010.
On the other hand, Salman and Sangeeta, they still share cordial terms and she’s often seen attending events organized by the superstar.
